sewing
I am using a Brother 1034D Overlocker and a Janome 7025 Sewing Machine to make the masks. It’s quite time consuming cutting out the 6 patterns and then sewing them all together, turning the mask inside out, stitch over the sides and insert the ribbon.

What steps are there?
- lay out fabric
- iron fabric
- pin pattern to fabric
- cut out fabric
- do this for the 6 pieces
- sew together frontpiece on overlocker
- sew together mouthpiece on overlocker
- iron mouthpiece and hem side on sewing machine
- clip all pieces together
- sew along all 4 sides on overlocker
- turn inside out
- fold over sides and stitch on sewing machine
- insert ear hops and tie together and hide in fold
- pick ribbon colour and cut off a length from the roll
- insert ribbon into mask
- fold mask
- print wee instruction paper
- insert wee instruction paper
But it’s great to see the finished piece!
