We are now making an open call to artists working with film, lens based work and moving image to submit work responding to:
‘the scale of things’

Closing date for receipt of submissions is 18th August 2010 at 4pm.
your submission should include:
- a short CV
- you may submit up to 3 works
- works should be on DVD as
- quicktime files or on
- DVD playable in a DVD player
- if you submit more than one work, please include menu & chaptermarkers
works can also be submitted digitally, please contact switch for ftp-details: switch.information@gmail.com
please note:
- the installed videos will have no sound
- the video works will be situated in the public sphere, therefore content consideration must be taken into account
- works will be shown on a constant loop,
- all submission will be viewed using a laptop/DVD-player & projector
switch is:
- 8 artworks in 8 vacant spaces in a town centre for one week, from 5pm to 11pm in the evening.
- A temporary public intervention that shows contemporary visual art in a public context.
- running from 1st-7th November 2010, Nenagh, Co Tipperary, Ireland.
switch shows contemporary works of moving image, selected through open submission to a particular theme.

- 2010: the scale of things
- The event itself will be accompanied by a publication & a website.
- An artist fee of Euro 250 [incl. VAT] will be paid per selected artist.
